Yam Ring Basket

INGREDIENTS

Chicken
  • One by One Chicken Fillet
Ingredients
  • 1 pcs Sadia One by One Chicken Fillet (cut into chunks)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • Yam ring
  • Cooking oil
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 medium purple onion (cut into small wedges)
  • 1 stalk celery (cut into bite-size pieces)
  • 1 small carrot (thinly sliced)
  • 1 Tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • ¼ tsp ground white pepper
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 120ml chicken broth
  • 2 tsp cornstarch mixed with 1 Tbsp water

METHOD

  1. Marinate the Sadia One by One Chicken Fillet with cornstarch and soy sauce. Set aside for 15 minutes.
  2. Deep-fry the yam ring according to the packaging instructions and set aside.
  3. Heat oil in a large skillet over high heat. Sauté the garlic and onion for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the marinated chicken and stir-fry for 3 minutes. Add the celery and carrots, then continue stir-frying for another 1 minute.
  5. Add the seasonings and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer and adjust the flavour to taste.
  6. Stir in the cornstarch slurry (cornstarch mixed with water) and cook until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
  7. Spoon the chicken and vegetable filling into the yam ring and serve immediately.
