Sesame Chicken Meatballs

  • 1 pack Sadia Minced Chicken
  • 1 stalk spring onions, plus 1 stalk for garnish
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 20g breadcrumbs
  • 1 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 2 tsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • Freshly ground black pepper

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (add 3 tsp of water)
  • 250ml chicken stock
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 2 slices of ginger, chopped
  • 2 tbsp pure honey
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • Cooked rice
  • Toasted sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Oil, for frying


  1. Combine chicken, spring onions, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic, sesame oil, and soy sauce in a bowl. Season with pepper. Form about 10 meatballs from the mixture and set aside
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over high heat and fry meatballs until cooked through
  3. In a large saucepan, whisk in chicken stock, honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, honey, and sesame oil. Cook over medium-low heat and whisk
  4. When the mixture starts to bubble, add in the cornstarch and water mixture into the saucepan. Stir continuously for about 1 to 2 minutes, until it thickens. Remove from heat
  5. Add meatballs and toss to coat
  6. Serve over rice, garnished with spring onions and sesame seeds
