Nasi Lemak Ayam Onigiri

Chicken Wings
  • 160g (2 servings) Sadia Nasi Lemak Chicken Wings 
  • 2 cups of pre-cooked, cooled Nasi Lemak rice
  • 2 sheets of nori (seaweed), cut into 21 x 19 cm stripes
  • Nasi Lemak sambal paste (homemade or ready-made)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Sesame seeds


  1. Air fry the Sadia Nasi Lemak Chicken Wings as per packaging instructions. 
  2. Wet your hands to prevent the rice from sticking. Place a plastic wrap or a piece of plastic wrap on a clean surface. Lay a strip of nori in the center horizontally.
  3. Take a handful of pre-cooked Nasi Lemak rice and place it in the center of the nori strip. Flatten it.
  4. Shred the air-fried Sadia Nasi Lemak Chicken Wings and place them on top of the rice. Remember to let the wings cool before shredding.
  5. Add a spoonful of nasi lemak sambal paste on top of the chicken for that authentic Nasi Lemak flavor. Adjust the amount to your desired spiciness. Sprinkle a pinch of salt over the filling for added flavor.
  6. Carefully fold the edges of the nori over the rice and filling to form a triangle or oval-shaped onigiri. Sprinkle sesame seeds on the onigiri for extra flavor and texture as desired.
