Chicken Cannonballs

cooking-time10 mins cooking-servings3-4 SERVINGS

  • 1 pack Sadia Minced Chicken
  • 2 1/2 tbsp dried breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup parmesan, finely grated
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 tsp rosemary/thyme leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup cornflakes, crushed
  • Canola oil spray

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the minced meat, breadcrumbs, parmesan, egg, salt and pepper to taste and rosemary/thyme in a bowl. Mix well.
  3. The little ones can put on their aprons and get rolling! Scoop the mixture and roll into small balls (about the size of a golf ball). Then roll these in the crushed cornflakes.
Note: Regular breadcrumbs would work too but cornflakes add an extra touch of ‘party’ texture and flavour.
  4. Place them on the baking tray, lightly spray over with canola oil and put into the oven to cook for 20 minutes, or until golden and cooked through.
  5. Get ready to serve and decorate these cannonballs in pirate theme!
