Mala Chicken Wings with Garlic Onion Mash

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pack Sichuan Mala Chicken Wings
  • 1kg potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 3/4 cups whole milk
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 5 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tbsp of spring onion, thinly chopped
  • 2 tbsp Sour Cream

METHOD

  1. Place the 1kg of peeled and quarted potatoes into a large pot and boil until soft
  2. In a small pot, mix 3 cloves of garlic, crushed, and 3/4 cups of whole milk.
  3. Place the pot over low heat and bring to a simmer while continuously stirring
  4. Air fry the packet of Mala Chicken Wings straight from the freezer at 200°C for 10-12 mins.
  5. Once potatoes are softened, place them into a large bowl and using a fork or a masher, mash it into smaller chunks.
  6. Then, slowly strain out the milk and pour into the potatoes.
  7. Add 5 tbsp of unsalted butter, 2 tbsp of sour cream, salt and black pepper to taste, and 2 tbsp of spring onion into the bowl. Mash until creamy.
  8. Serve the mash onto a plate and the Mala Chicken Wings on top of it.
