INGREDIENTS

Beef
  • Sadia Beef Ribeye
For the Marinade
  • 400g Sadia Beef Ribeye
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
Ingredients
  • 2 Tbsp cooking oil
1 brown onion (cut into thick wedges)
    1 Tbsp minced garlic
1 bunch chye sim (trimmed and cut into 5 cm lengths)
    500g Hokkien yellow noodles
    6 Tbsp black pepper sauce

METHOD

  1. Keep the Sadia Beef Ribeye sealed and thaw it in the chiller for 24 hours before use. Portion out 400g and slice into 1-inch steaks, then cut into stripes.
  2. In a large bowl, combine beef with all marinade ingredients. Toss well to coat and set aside for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Heat 1 Tbsp oil in a large pan over high heat. Add half the beef and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until browned. Transfer to a plate and repeat with the remaining beef.
  4. In the same pan, add onion and garlic. Stir-fry for 1 minute until fragrant. Add choy sum and toss for another 1-2 minutes until just wilted.
  5. Return beef to the pan. Add noodles and pour in black pepper sauce. Toss everything together for 2-3 minutes until glossy and heated through. Serve immediately.
