Black Pepper Beef Noodles

INGREDIENTS
Beef- Sadia Beef Ribeye
- 400g Sadia Beef Ribeye
- ¼ tsp baking soda
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 2 Tbsp cooking oil
1 brown onion (cut into thick wedges)
1 Tbsp minced garlic
1 bunch chye sim (trimmed and cut into 5 cm lengths)
500g Hokkien yellow noodles
6 Tbsp black pepper sauce
METHOD
- Keep the Sadia Beef Ribeye sealed and thaw it in the chiller for 24 hours before use. Portion out 400g and slice into 1-inch steaks, then cut into stripes.
- In a large bowl, combine beef with all marinade ingredients. Toss well to coat and set aside for 15-20 minutes.
- Heat 1 Tbsp oil in a large pan over high heat. Add half the beef and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until browned. Transfer to a plate and repeat with the remaining beef.
- In the same pan, add onion and garlic. Stir-fry for 1 minute until fragrant. Add choy sum and toss for another 1-2 minutes until just wilted.
- Return beef to the pan. Add noodles and pour in black pepper sauce. Toss everything together for 2-3 minutes until glossy and heated through. Serve immediately.
