Kadai Chicken (Stir-fried Chicken)

  • 1 pack Sadia One by One Chicken Breast (Skinless), cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 tbsp light cooking oil
  • 1 tsp whole cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp ginger, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 large-sized onion, sliced
  • 1 medium-sized green bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 medium-sized tomatoes, cut into wedges
  • Salt to taste
  • Cilantro leaves for garnishing
  • A squeeze of lemon


  1. Heat oil in a large non-stick wok and fry cumin seeds, ginger and garlic for a few seconds till fragrant. Add in spices and tomato paste, and mix well
  2. Add in chicken pieces and stir-fry with the spices for 2-3 mins till lightly browned along the edges
  3. Stir-fry onions for 2-3 mins till they start to soften
  4. Add the bell peppers and tomatoes. Season with salt, and mix well. Cook it covered for 5-6 mins till the chicken is completely cooked through
  5. Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. Serve warm.
