Cumin & Turmeric Spiced Lentil Soup

INGREDIENTS

  • Sadia Chicken Boneless Leg
Ingredients
  • 200g Sadia Chicken Boneless Leg (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 1 cup red lentils (washed & drained) 1 onion (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced) 1-inch ginger (grated) 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1⁄2 tsp turmeric powder 1⁄2 tsp coriander powder 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cups chicken broth or water
  • 1 tomato (chopped)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Fresh coriander for garnish

METHOD

  1. Heat olive oil in a pot. Sauté onions, garlic, and ginger until fragrant.
  2. Add Sadia Chicken Boneless Leg pieces and cook until lightly browned.
  3. Stir in cumin, turmeric, coriander, and paprika. Cook for 30 seconds.
  4. Add lentils, chopped tomato, and broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes.
  5. Season with salt & pepper. Garnish with fresh coriander.
  6. Serve hot with crusty bread or rice.
