Soya Braised Chicken Wing

  • Sadia Frozen Chicken Wings 500gm
  • Water 8000gm
  • Soya Sauce 1500gm
  • Rock Sugar 1000gm
  • Dark Soya Sauce 300gm
  • Licorice (gan cao) 60gm
  • Star Anise 50gm
  • Chinese Black Cardamom (cao kuo) 50gm
  • 2 Cinnamons
  • Clove 2gm
  • 1 Luo Han Guo


  1. Place all herbs in a soup bag
  2. Bring water to a boil in a large stock pot
  3. Add in the rest of the ingredients and soup bag
  4. Simmer the stock for 24 hrs (ready to use)
  5. Rinse chicken wings and drain the water
  6. Bring the stock to a boil & add the chicken wings. Turn off the fire
  7. Let the chicken wings cook in the soya stock without heat for 25 mins
  8. Ready to serve
